Equipment Description

When high or low temperature extremes are reached or when the rate of temperature rise is particularly rapid, the Temperature Extremes Sensor emits an audible alarm and will alert a monitoring centre if you have a compatible base/home unit. This product is designed to help minimise the risks associated with changes in temperature, including the build up of heat in a kitchen and the risk of sustained periods of cold weather. When alerted, the monitoring centre will normally talk to the user (through a speaker on the base unit, without the need for the phone to be picked up), discuss their needs and then send help if this is required. The base unit can also be set up to call a relative or friend prior to calling the monitoring centre. FEATURES: The high temperature alarm will be raised if the temperature reaches 42ºC and above for more than 2 minutes. The low temperature alarm will be raised if the temperature falls to 2ºC for at least 20 minutes. The alarm will also activate if the temperature in the room rises by 1ºC per minute over a 30 minute period or by 3ºC over a five minute period. NOTE: One or more can be placed in areas of the home where temperature extremes could be a problem. This product is usually fixed to a wall and you may therefore need to get permission from your landlord to install it.
